Bob Janssen, a fellow cyclist is currently bravely fighting ALS. Some of you may know Bob and/or Melissa Jansen, since both have been in the cycling community for years. Bob will be at Morey’s Pier and Melissa will be participating in the ride.
Bob and Melissa married in 1999 and are proud parents of two nine year old daughters, Paris and Arabella. The Trek/Volkswagen East Factory Mountain Biking team signed Bob and Melissa in 1998. Bob is an accomplished cyclist and has won the NJ State Time Trial 40+; NJ State Criterium Champion – CAT 3; Mt. Washington Auto Road Hill Climb Champion 40+; and NJ State Master Road Race - Silver Medal. He won many triathlons and duathlons.
Bob and Melissa work at Heartland Rehab who has a team and is raising money on Bob’s behalf. You can sign up as an individual or on the Heartland team. If you cannot attend, you can make a donation or sponsor a rider. The website is www.als-express.org
